dbate.ai beta
What to expect during the beta
dbate.ai is in a trust-first beta: live debates with real video, real timers, and real audience votes. Everything you see is real — and a few things are intentionally not built yet.
What works today
- Create a debate, share the link, and let anyone claim the open seat.
- Live audio/video for debaters; watch-only video for the audience.
- A 3-round best-of-three format with audience voting windows after each round.
- Anonymous viewers can watch; signed-in viewers can vote.
- A final verdict computed from the closed vote rounds.
Known limitations
- No live chat or audience questions — the chat panel is disabled by design.
- No emoji reactions or live sentiment display.
- “Reminder” and “Save” store a flag on your device only — there are no email, push, or calendar notifications. The share link is the invite.
- AI analysis is beta and may be unavailable; there is no automated judging.
- Fact-check statuses are reviewed manually and update slowly.
- Mic-muting between turns is advisory — debaters are not hard-muted.
